We’ve always treated the security of your website as one of the pillars of our support.  We go through great lengths in keeping out the bad guys out while letting you and your customers make secured, safe transactions.   We use a security-conscious hosting service.  We run a central management system to apply updates and run system backups of your website.   We apply over 40 different hardening techniques to WordPress. We run your website exclusively on SSL (HTTPS) and if that wasn’t enough we also filter your website traffic with CloudFlare; a popular CDN and internet security cloud service.

Why an upgrade?

All this sounds great, right?  But what would happen if your website did get hacked?  What would happen if, after all of this protection, the bad guy was able to break in?  Website hacks happen all the time which is why we are so fanatical about protecting your website.  So when that breach does occur you need the right tools to find and eradicate the intruder.  So this year we’ve brought in the Sucuri CloudProxy Website Firewall service to all Studio Engine websites.

In simple terms this service provides your website with a real-time firewall along with an anti-virus/anti-malware system.  Much like the existing CloudFlare service we use today all of your inbound website traffic is first proxy-filtered through the Sucuri service.   The proxy also provides an added performance for visitors delivering much of your sites traffic from high-performance cache.  The added advantage of the Sucuri service over CloudFlare is that when a breach does occur they also provide a method to identify, clean and eradicate the source.


We are happy to say that the Sucuri CloudProxy protection is being implemented now for our subscribers at no additional cost.   The Sucuri service has been running in our test labs and we are now ready to roll this out in January 2017.  This upgrade will require you to make a change to your domain’s DNS name-server records.  This is something we did with you when you first signed on with our service.   We will contact you within the month to coordinate this change.
